Version 8.0.0 of Coupon Affiliates is now available!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a big release, and most of the work has gone into the admin side of the plugin: paying affiliates faster, recalculating statistics without leaving wp-admin, and making everything behave properly on stores with caching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bulk Payouts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Paying affiliates one at a time gets tedious once your program grows, especially when you’re using more than one payout method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Bulk Payouts<\/strong> page brings every pending payout request together in one place so you can pay them all in a single click.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It works across every payout method at once – Stripe, PayPal, Wise and Store Credit – so there’s no need to run each one separately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the payouts process, you’ll see live progress for each request, and if any of them fail, the failure is shown clearly so you know exactly which ones need attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Improved payouts exports<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Le Export Payouts<\/strong> button now opens a dropdown so you can shape the export before downloading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filter by status, payment method and date range, optionally include each payout’s payment details, and choose between a CSV file or a new landscape PDF report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A similar filter dropdown has also been added to the “Affiliate Orders” admin page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More control over payout requests<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  • Le Create Payout Requests<\/strong> page now handles missing details inline. If an affiliate hasn’t chosen a payout method, has no user assigned to their coupon, or hasn’t entered their payout details, you’ll get a prompt to sort each case on the spot, after which the row reloads with the relevant next step.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Scheduled weekly payout requests<\/strong> can now be set to generate on a specific day of the week (defaulting to Monday).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Recalculate statistics from the admin area<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Until now, a coupon’s all-time statistics were recalculated when its affiliate dashboard was next loaded. That’s fine day to day, but it’s awkward when you just want to check or correct the numbers from the admin side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Version 8.0.0 adds a Refresh Statistics<\/strong> tool to both the “View Affiliate” page and the coupon edit page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    It recalculates a coupon’s all-time statistics directly from the admin area, working through every order one coupon at a time, with a live progress bar and log so you can see what it’s doing. There’s no need to open the affiliate dashboard first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    On the “View Affiliate” page you can select several coupons and refresh them together, and the coupons table updates as each one finishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A few related additions round this out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • All-time statistics boxes<\/strong> (Sales, Commission, Processing and Unpaid) now appear in the “Coupon Affiliates” box on the coupon edit page, and update automatically once you run the refresh tool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      A redesigned affiliate dashboard “Settings” tab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      The “Settings” tab on the affiliate dashboard has been rebuilt with a cleaner, boxed layout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The affiliate’s account details sit in a card on the left, and each remaining section – notifications, plus the PRO payout and statement settings – gets its own card on the right, each with its own “Save changes” button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If you’d rather keep the old look, there’s a new Settings Tab Layout<\/strong> option (under the Settings Tab settings) to switch between the new “Modern (boxed sections)” layout and the original “Legacy (tabs)” one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      For developers, there are now hooks and filters throughout the tab, so the sections can be reordered, added to, removed, or customised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Registration fields on the affiliate dashboard<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Your registration form’s custom fields now show up in the “Account Details” section, pre-filled with whatever each affiliate entered when they signed up, so they can view and update them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      A new per-field “Editable by user” option controls which fields affiliates can change, and the same fields are now editable from the admin “View Affiliate” page and the standard WordPress edit-user profile screen too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Faster, cache-friendly performance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      If your store uses a persistent object cache such as Redis, this release will feel more responsive, and more correct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Cache invalidation is now fully compatible with persistent object caches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Creating a new affiliate, changing coupon assignments, or updating an affiliate’s group is reflected immediately in the admin and on affiliate dashboards, without having to manually flush the cache. Assigning or unassigning a coupon updates dashboard access straight away, so newly assigned affiliates get in immediately and removed ones lose access at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Behind the scenes, all cache invalidation has been consolidated into a central cache layer, and unnecessary cache clearing has been cut out. Customer registrations, for example, no longer wipe the admin dashboard caches, which makes a real difference on busier stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Quality-of-life improvements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Plenty of smaller changes went into this release. A few worth mentioning:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • On the affiliate portal, you can click the coupon title in the header to copy the coupon code to your clipboard. Affiliates assigned to more than one coupon now get a dropdown next to the title to switch between their dashboards quickly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The admin “View Affiliate” page gained a Password<\/strong> field with a button to send the affiliate a password reset email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The “reset your password” link on the affiliate dashboard now emails the reset link directly (after a confirmation), the same way the WooCommerce “Lost password” form does.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Bulk actions that can’t be easily undone – trashing or changing the status of affiliate orders, the “Bulk Edit: Coupon Settings” tool, and importing database tables – now show a clear confirmation prompt first, including how many items will be affected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The admin coupons list now shows each coupon’s commission rate, with a tooltip explaining exactly where that rate is coming from.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The registration settings’ “Custom Form Fields” section has been redesigned with a card layout, drag-and-drop reordering, and a delete button per field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Notable fixes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        As always, there’s a long list of fixes in this release. Some of the more important ones:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Fixed referred orders being missing from the referred orders table (while still counted correctly in the totals) on stores with a positive GMT\/UTC timezone offset, which affects most of Europe and Asia.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Optimised the admin notification bell so it no longer slows down wp-admin on larger sites – it now polls less often, caches its lookups, and only builds the dropdown when it’s opened.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Added a WooCommerce Checkout Block fix for referral URL conversion tracking and related order processing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Fixed logging in via the affiliate portal (or the dashboard, MLA portal, or registration page) redirecting to the WooCommerce “My Account” page instead of keeping you on the page you logged in from.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

          • Tweak: (PRO) Made a few tweaks to how PRO license deactivation handles some important PRO tracking functionality, to better prevent any disruptions if the PRO license is reactivated later.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Tweak: In the admin coupons list added a line that shows the commission rate for that coupon, and a tooltip that shows where that commission rate is coming from exactly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Tweak: (PRO) For the product-level “Per-Affiliate Product Commission Rates”, the “User Role” type now uses a dropdown if available roles instead of a free text field, to prevent entering an incorrect role slug.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

          • Tweak: Made some changes to the edit coupon page “Coupon Affiliates & Commission” section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Tweak: The activity log now only records manual admin edits to a coupon’s commission amounts and rates (unpaid, processing, pending, and the commission rates), and no longer logs the plugin’s own automatic updates to them. This prevents the activity log from filling up with thousands of entries when a coupon with a large order history has its statistics recalculated, which on some sites could slow down or time out the affiliate dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
