Version 7.3.0 – Pending Commission Tracking and More

Version 7.3.0 of Coupon Affiliates is now available!

This update introduces a highly requested “Pending Commission” tracking system, more granular control over affiliate registrations, and several performance optimisations to keep your affiliate program running smoothly.

💰 New “Pending Commission” Feature

The main feature of version 7.3.0 is the brand-new “Pending Commission” system for payouts tracking.

Previously, the commission payouts tab would only show the “unpaid commission” earned for referred orders marked as completed.

With this update, we’ve introduced a “Pending Commission” amount that is displayed as smaller text above the “unpaid commission” for orders that are pending/processing and being displayed on the dashboard, but have not yet been completed.

This gives your affiliates more transparency, as they can see exactly which commissions are currently being processed for their next payout. This also avoids confusion some of our users were having with unpaid commission.

📝 Enhanced Registration Controls

We’ve made the affiliate onboarding process even more flexible with two new registration features:

  • Role-Based Auto-Accept: You can now choose to automatically accept affiliate registrations only for specific WordPress user roles or groups. This is perfect if you want to fast-track trusted partners while manually vetting others.
  • Custom Success Messages: You can now customize the message shown to affiliates immediately after they submit their registration form, allowing you to provide specific “next steps” or brand-appropriate instructions.

🛠️ Custom Form Field Tweaks

We’ve improved the Custom Form Fields system to give you more control over your registration forms:

  • Radio Field Options: You can now easily define custom “options” and values for radio button fields.
  • Improved Layouts: We’ve tweaked the layout of checkbox and radio fields on the registration form to ensure they look great on all themes.

🚀 Performance & Security Tweaks

We are always looking for ways to make the plugin faster and more secure. In 7.3.0, we’ve implemented:

  • Faster Admin Reports: We’ve optimized the way admin reports are generated, making them load faster.
  • Improved IP Logging: Better accuracy for IP address logging on referral URL clicks.
  • Mobile Sidebar: Added a “Close” button to the mobile sidebar menu in the affiliate portal for a better user experience on smaller screens.
  • Security Reinforcements: Several precautionary security improvements have been made.
  • Cron Job Logic: Improved the “delayed commission” logic to ensure that if a cron job is missed, the system will look back at previous days to ensure no commissions are left behind.

🐞 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with the admin reports not generating if orders contained deleted products.
  • Fixed an issue with the CSS and JS not loading properly after submitting the affiliate registration form.
  • Fixed a potential issue with unintended user role removal when editing users.
  • Fixed an issue with not being able to add new affiliates when the coupon code previously existed but was deleted from a previous affiliate registration that was accepted.
  • Fixed an issue in some cases with not being able tot save the payout settings on the affiliate dashboard.
  • Fixed an issue with affiliate group commission rates when the user was assigned to multiple user roles. It will now get the highest commission rate from the roles assigned.
