How to Remove an Affiliate User

There are 3 ways to stop an affiliate user, depending on whether you want to keep their data and be able to undo it.

Suspend the Affiliate

From version 8.4.0, you can suspend an affiliate instead of removing them. This is the only option that can be undone, and nothing is deleted. While they are suspended, they can’t open their affiliate dashboard and none of their coupons can be used. Their account, coupons, statistics, commission and payout history are all kept.

To do this, go to the “Affiliate Users” page under “Coupon Affiliates”, open the actions dropdown for the affiliate and click “Suspend User”. You can also click “Suspend” on their View Affiliate page. Click “Remove Suspension” to lift it.

Un-assign Affiliate Users

The second option is to un-assign the user from their affiliate coupons. This will keep the user account on your website, but they will no longer be able to view their affiliate dashboard, and will no longer earn commissions for their coupon.

To do this simply go to the “Affiliate Users” page under “Coupon Affiliates”, then under the “Affiliate Coupons” column, hover over the coupon, and click “Unassign”.

You can also go to the “Coupons” page and delete the coupon if needed, which will delete some of the coupon data too, such as unpaid commissions.

Delete The User Account

Another option is to simply delete the WordPress user by going to the “Users” section in your admin area.

Hover over the username that you want to delete, and click the red “Delete” link.
